Meet Our Doctors

hensonBrett R. Henson, DDS

Dr. Henson received his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from UNC School of Dentistry in Chapel Hill, North Carolina and completed his endodontic residency at Tufts University in Boston, Massachusetts. While in school, he conducted research on dental pulp genetics as well as endodontic CT scanning technology. As a dental student at UNC, he participated in numerous volunteer opportunities, including the SHAC clinic and the North Carolina Missions of Mercy clinics. Dr. Henson is dedicated to delivering excellent endodontic care and giving back to the community.

Dr. Henson maintains memberships in many professional organizations to stay up-to-date with the latest techniques and technology. He is currently a member of the American Dental Association, American Association of Endodontists, North Carolina Dental Society, Tarheel Endodontic Association, and the Rowan Dental Society.

Dr. Henson grew up in Wilkesboro, North Carolina where became an Eagle Scout. He attended Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia for his undergraduate degree in economics before deciding to pursue dentistry. Dr. Henson enjoys college basketball, playing team trivia, staying active, and volunteering with the North Carolina Missions of Mercy in his free time.

boydKathleen S. Boyd, DDS, MS

Dr. Boyd has been providing exceptional endodontic care since 1994. She earned her undergraduate degree, dental degree, Master of Science degree and Endodontic Certificate at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She completed an endodontic residency there as well. Dr Boyd is currently an adjunct professor at UNC School of Dentistry

To stay current with all the latest advancements in the field of endodontics, Dr. Boyd holds active memberships with the American Dental Association, American Association of Endodontics, North Carolina Dental Society, Rowan County Dental Society, and the Tarheel Endodontic Association.

Dr. Boyd gives back to the community by being a volunteer dentist at the Rowan County Community Care Clinic and through her service as Board Member of the Salisbury Community Foundation. In her leisure time, she is a competitive runner and a mother of three children.
